BOARDING
With
our focus on high quality training for our horses and riders, we
generally limit
our boarding services to those interested in our
lesson, training or sales and leasing services. This also helps us
to deliver on our commitment to horse and rider’s overall well-being.
Whether you are a do-it-yourselfer or like us to help with your horses
care, we have a number of boarding services to meet your needs. Our
head trainer, Bridgette Boland, lives on the farm 24/7, and our Horse
Health and Barn Manager, Terrie Miles, checks on your horse daily.
We have 15 stalls in three barns, as well as limited pasture boarding.
- REGULAR
BOARD: Includes
hay, bedding, mucking, feeding and turnout. You provide your horse’s
exercise and grooming services.
- FULL
BOARD: Includes all the Services of Regular Board plus grooming,
basic tack cleaning, basic horse care supplies (e.g., fly spray,
shampoo, brushes), and regular de-wormings.
- TRAINING
BOARD: Includes all the services of Full Board plus
basic riding supplies (e.g., pads, leg wraps) and lessons and
coaching
for you and/or training for your horse. Training Board
is customized to include training and coaching at horse shows.
Basically, your
horse will receive professional rides four days per week.
Riders may opt to use two of these rides per week as lessons.
We manage
routine dental, de-worming, farrier and veterinary services
at no extra charge and provide night check services, blanketing
and
feed your horses' supplements diligently. We know how
expensive supplements can be and we do this free of charge.
Ship-ins for lessons and training are welcome; however, all horses
coming onto the property must present a current negative Coggins
document before stepping off the trailer.
LESSONS
West
End Equestrian Center welcomes individuals with beginner to advanced
riding skills to participate in our lesson program. We offer instruction
in every aspect of English riding from beginner flat work in traditional
hunt seat to upper-level Dressage, with nice stadium jumps in the
larger ring.
We teach children 5 years of age and older, but especially invite
adults to give us a try. We give discounts on our lessons if you
are riding your own horse. We offer introductory rates and package
discounts. It would be difficult to find a more affordable package.
Whether you ride for pleasure, fitness, relaxation, and/or competition,
we have a program that will fit your style and budget. You can depend
on us for enjoyment and a challenge. We are dedicated to improving
your skills in riding and horsemanship.
TRAINING
The WEEC trainers and staff have a cumulative 70 years of experience
in training and showing ponies and horses in the USA. Our training
services are generally for horses three years of age and up. Mares,
geldings and stallions are welcome. If your horse is to be a competitive
jumper, we can continue its training while competing with it at
shows. Whether you have a young horse that needs professional training
or a mature horse that requires a bit of supplemental education
to enhance your riding enjoyment, we can assist you.
Our training goal is simple: quiet horses that are easy to ride
and handle.
Whatever a horse’s intended career, a proper education is
one of the greatest gifts an owner can give, both to himself and
the horse. Investment in a horse’s education will not only
improve the value of a horse, but more importantly, it will improve
the value of the time you spend with your horse.
